Nicole Malbeuf and Ontario artists COLLABORATE to create these Artistic one-of-a-kind performances and special projects. Performances and Projects are interdsciplinary in nature and are for all ages to enjoy. Creations are sensory-rich, thoughtful and always fun.

Construction Guys

Made in collaboration with HERCINIA ARTS COLLECTIVE. This is a 30 minute (-ish) street theatre circus show involving clown, physical theatre, object manipulation and aerial arts. The Guys set up a freestanding aerial rig on their construction site through tricks and physical comedy. The show culminates in a finale aerial performance. This is not a drill!

Dragonfly

Art installation and theatrical performance in hair suspension . Portable rig is transformed into a giant yellow spider web. Witness a tangled dragonfly free herself from the web and lure you into flight with her in this enchanting and illuminated 6 minute flying performance.

A Hen Called Freedom

An unusual and wonderful production that explores concepts of animal welfare and the implications of producing food on one small farm. In this theatrical, comedic, heart-breaking and inspiring circus show, you will follow young farmer Natalie as she deals with her favourite misfit hen falling to unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances. This 1 hour stage show is suitable for families and children age 6 and up. A fantastic multi-disciplinary and sensory educational experience for libraries and arts festivals. This show is entirely self-contained and portable, suitable for small spaces with 17 feet ceilings or higher.

This show was made with the support of Canada Arts Council, Public Energy and Theatre Trent.

 
 

Morning Glory

A sculptural performance of colour, sound and texture! This is a 5 minute act with acrobatics and dance paired with the pleasurable shapes, patterns and effects made by the performer in motion. The freestanding apparatus sets up and tear downs in 15 minutes and can fit in spaces with limited ceiling hieght. Available as a live, hybrid or virtual performance.

From the Archives…

Circus Chickens

This is a roaming act with special characters! They are full of character, curiosity and silliness. These acrobatic clowns animate any festival or event with tricks and gags between demonstrations of their “chicken-ness”. Performed in 30 minute sets, this is a great way to greet pedestrians and guests during idle time, or utilized them as traffic control.

Cabaret Chickens

These silly and sexy chickens show off their mating dance! The audience is the prospective mate. Performed to Glen Miller’s “In the Mood”, witness these seemingly ordinary chickens pull acrobatic stunts and feather boas out of their cloaca! A 4 minute performance for cabarets and variety shows.

Learn-A-Dance

An audience activation in dance! Learn-A-Dance is a step-by-step short presentation that that teaches audiences how to perform a mini dance routine to music. This is a fun, high-energy and passionate experience for all ages and abilities.

The GIVING Tree

A short devised production based on the Shel Silverstein illustrated book. A theatrical performance of movement performed on a portable, free-standing set that transforms before the audience and then welcomes their physical engagement in the story.
